It is hard to believe another year of sustainable value creation is behind us, and it’s exciting to look forward to a future of opportunities to make impactful change. I remain proud to lead the GRESB Foundation and to continue to support its critical work across the real asset industries.
The Foundation would not be possible without the dedication of more than 100 members around the world. I am deeply indebted to all of the members of the Foundation Board, the Real Estate and Infrastructure Standards Committees, the Working Groups, and Expert Resource Groups. These volunteers devote endless hours to ensure the GRESB Standards remain independent, investor-led, and reflective of the real asset industry, and each of them contributed to the Foundation’s successes of 2024:
- Publishing the long-awaited 2025 GRESB Foundation Roadmap to update all of you on the Foundation’s work and tandards development plan for the coming years
- Crafting tailored content for each of our stakeholder groups, including investor member newsletters, webinars, and podcasts
- Hosting round tables and masterclasses around the globe to share ideas and explore emerging issues
- Electing Kristina Kloberdanz to the Foundation Board, Georgie Nelson, Nicole Wilson, Juliette Lefebure to the Real Estate Standard Committee, and Mitch Seider, Sean Kahn, Cassie Winn to the Infrastructure Standards Committee
- Inviting dozens of new members to the Real Estate and Infrastructure Expert Resource Groups, who have supported the development of the GRESB AP Accreditation and whose insights were included in the Roadmap
- Recognizing Shama Naqushbandi, Patrick Kanters, Katie Jowett, Jorge Chapa, Sasha Njagulj, and Neil Krawitz for their service to the Foundation Board, Real Estate Standards Committee, and Infrastructure Standards Committees
- Continuing to evolve the real estate and infrastructure standards!
The Foundation will continue to make a concerted effort to engage and listen to our stakeholders. Our strength remains in the input and guidance we receive from each of you and your feedback helps us improve the standards’ development. You elevate the topics we explore, you inform the questions we ask, and you demand the changes we make to the standards. Your participation and support are what drives sustainable market transformation.
On behalf of the GRESB Foundation, I am grateful for each of you and for your contributions to the standards. I look forward to continuing our critical work together.
Thank you and happy new year!
