Our offerings support property owners, managers, and developers in embedding environmental and social responsibility across the lifecycle of their assets—from fitout and operations to procurement and waste management.
GECA’s certifications are designed to align with key ESG and sustainability benchmarks used across the real estate sector, including GRESB, NABERS, Green Star, and IS Rating Scheme. These certifications help stakeholders demonstrate measurable performance on material issues such as resource recovery, responsible sourcing, indoor environment quality, and supply chain transparency.
For operational real estate assets, GECA’s Waste Collection Services standard is particularly relevant. It supports verification of environmentally preferable practices in commercial, retail and industrial waste management, with criteria addressing diversion from landfill, material recovery, reporting transparency, and alignment with circular economy principles. This is directly applicable to GRESB’s Waste Management and Risk & Opportunity module.
We also certify a wide range of products used in buildings—including cleaning agents, paints, furniture, flooring, and fittings—ensuring they meet robust environmental, health, and social criteria.
We also provide a Claims Authentication service, offering independent verification for organisations making specific environmental or social claims, including those related to recycled content, carbon impact, or ethical sourcing. This service supports clarity and credibility in stakeholder communications, especially where greenwashing is a concern.
