Throughout 2024, the GRESB Foundation has been working on changes to the 2025 Standards (both Real Estate and Infrastructure) and confirming them in advance of the October 2024 release of the 2025 Strategic Roadmap, which will be published here.
Prior to publishing the full roadmap, we have been outlining key elements of these changes online after they have been approved by the GRESB Foundation.
Below is a summary of the most recent Infrastructure change:
Verification and Assurance
The introduction of a score for the verification or assurance of GHG Scope 1 and 2 current year data. This change is subject to materiality, impacting only entities that are, or are part of, a relatively larger corporate entity (based on balance sheet total, turnover, and employee numbers). This change will help improve data quality and comparability, and reward best practice.
