The GRESB Sustainable Real Asset Conference in Washington, DC was full of exceptional speakers. We learned about cutting-edge approaches to estimating physical hazards, engaged investment strategy, and innovations in rating systems. Critically, we also learned about on-the-ground leadership from property companies. We would love to share all of these thoughts and experiences with a broader audience; however, circumstances didn’t allow us to capture a high-quality recording. Consequently, we asked four leaders to reprise their DC performances, so that we can share them more broadly. You can access the recording [HERE].
We hope that the GRESB community finds a few minutes to listen to this recording. It includes:
- Chris Pyke (USGBC) and Heather Rosenberg (Building Resilience Network) providing an introduction to the new Resilience Module;
- Daniele Horton’s overview of work by Verdani Partners and the Verdani Institute of the Built Environment (VIBE);
- Jill Ziegler’s introduction to Forest City Realty Trust’s Enterprise Risk Management strategy and Pier 70 development in San Francisco;
- Ben Myers’ introduction to Boston Properties sustainability strategy and recent experience managing coastal flooding.
We hope that these presentations provide insight and inspiration as property companies complete the new GRESB Resilience Module over the next couple of weeks.
