What insights will you get from the Climate Risk & Resilience Scorecard?
Real estate portfolios face unique location-specific sustainability-related risks. GRESB, in partnership with Verisk Maplecroft, has analyzed the geospatial risks of the 964 real estate companies and funds participating in the 2019 Real Estate Assessment and mapped these against 24 risk adaptation measures.
The methodology applies 44 Verisk Maplecroft Risk Indices to geo-coded asset-data in the GRESB Assessment to identify unmanaged location-specific ESG and climate risks in your portfolio.
The asset-level risk scores are then combined with 24 GRESB Adaptation indicators to provide insight into the adequacy of ESG and climate risk management strategies, revealing how they compare to the broader GRESB universe, the overall resilience of the portfolio, and key areas for improvement.
Together the combined datasets provide a powerful framework for assessing the ESG and climate risks faced by real estate portfolios around the world, understanding how well they are managed and signposting where improved adaptation measures can be implemented. The resulting Climate Risk & Resilience Scorecard provides the following data-driven insights:
