GRESB Products and Services
GRESB uses the data submitted by companies and funds to assess and benchmark the sustainability performance of the global real estate sector. It has developed three products to communicate the benchmarking results to GRESB Respondents, (Associate) Members and Partners.
Scorecards
When participating in the GRESB Survey, each respondent receives a tailored scorecard free of charge, which highlights the key results of a fund/company’s sustainability performance. The Scorecard also explains the benchmark composition and contains a summary of environmental management information. The Scorecard is divided into an Executive Summary, which describes the portfolio and the fund/company’s vision and strategy on sustainability, and a Strengths and Weaknesses section, which summarizes the fund/company’s results for each of the seven sustainability aspects, as well as the performance of the peer group leader.
Benchmark Report
The Benchmark Report is a deeper analysis of the data submitted by Respondents. Additional information includes more benchmark data regarding resources devoted to sustainability issues and further details of disclosure and reporting policies. The report also considers the extent of a fund/company’s risk management policies and analyzes data regarding building certification in more detail. CSR Benchmark Reports are part of a GRESB Member’s membership benefits. They are also available on demand to Respondents on payment of a fee.
Member portal
GRESB Members can access information regarding the sustainability performance of companies and funds via a secure online portal. As well as the CSR Benchmark Reports for each fund and/or company in which they are invested, Members are also able to compile their own Member Report tailored for their investments. Members can select particular investments to be compared against different peer groups, allowing for due diligence on and engagement with real estate companies and funds.
