GRESB Real Estate Participant Training

Monday, February 27, 2017

New in 2017, GRESB introduces a two-tiered participant training program offering both Introduction and Advanced level training courses.

GRESB participant training programs offer hands-on educational experience, addressing all aspects of sustainability in real estate portfolios as covered by the GRESB Real Estate Assessment. Trainings combine theoretical characteristics of each GRESB topic with its practical applicability, demonstrated through various examples and case studies, tailored based on respective experience levels.

GRESB Real Estate training courses are offered from late February to mid April, aimed at property companies, fund managers, and other professionals involved in real estate investment and sustainability management. Both courses are delivered via face-to-face group sessions, in select locations across all regions with GRESB participation, including Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.

GRESB Introduction Training

GRESB Introduction Training addresses the fundamental ‘how to’ and ‘what’ of the GRESB Real Estate Assessment. The session delivers a high-level view of GRESB as an organization and benchmarking tool, and demonstrates the assessment scope, processes and scoring mechanisms.

Who should attend

  • First time GRESB participants who want to gain a basic understanding of GRESB reporting processes and its applications;
  • Professionals completing the GRESB Real Estate Assessment or working on the collection and management of real estate sustainability-related performance data who have not yet attended a previous GRESB training course;
  • Real estate professionals such as fund, asset and property managers, consultants, sustainability managers, etc., involved in the implementation of the various aspects of real estate efficiency and sustainability who have not previously participated in GRESB;
  • Governance, human resources and organizational management personnel who want to gain a basic understanding of the GRESB Real Estate ESG framework.

GRESB Advanced Training

Participation in the GRESB Advanced Training session enables companies and funds to more efficiently prepare responses, improve the quality of submissions and effectively identify internal management gaps using GRESB output. It also demonstrates detailed instruction on the assessment scope, process and methodology, as well as results and available GRESB resources.
