GRESB appoints new Head of Sustainability

Elsbeth Quispel joins GRESB from Jones Lang LaSalle, taking up the role of Head of Sustainability.

Elsbeth joined GRESB on Thursday 7 March, 2013. She will be responsible for developing and managing the content of the annual GRESB Survey and GRESB’s other products and services including its annual report and the publication of the annual Survey results to members, Survey respondents and GRESB’s partner industry associations. Elsbeth will also represent GRESB at events and will be responsible for the strategic development of GRESB’s benchmarking services.

“Elsbeth has extensive experience in the real estate sector and in sustainability, in particular in advising large institutional investors and managers regarding the practical implementation of sustainable practices” said Sander Paul van Tongeren, Executive Director at GRESB and Senior Sustainability Specialist at APG Asset Management. “We look forward to working with Elsbeth to continue GRESB’s development and to realize its ambition to become the global standard for portfolio level sustainability benchmarking in the real estate sector”.

Elsbeth joins GRESB from Jones Lang LaSalle, where she was Head of Sustainability and responsible for advising blue-chip investors, investment managers and tenants regarding a wide range of sustainability issues, including energy management and sustainability risk management. She has worked extensively on tenant engagement issues including the implementation of green leases.
